We manufacture our Gypsol HTC to the exact standards in quality-assured facilities located in Perth Western Australia .

Because we produce this product from high-quality Gypsol anhydrite binder, specially selected sands and clean water, it offers the user a simple and effective floor screeding solution. This reasoning is especially valid for floating, unbonded or fully bonded applications which contain underfloor heating and where you need a subsequent floor covering.

Electric Underfloor heating

For small areas such as bathrooms and in existing houses electric underfloor heating can provide an economical solution for room heating

Hydronic underfloor heating and cooling.

Hydronic underfloor heating and cooling is a popular, modern, and environmentally friendly temperature control solution. A network of underfloor pipes pump warm water, which heats the pipes themselves, the floor, and the room. When cooling is required the same system can circulate chilled water throughout the pipes.

Heating with a hydronic underfloor heating system is easy and efficient, with no hot or cold spots throughout the room, and no vents, units or radiators taking up space.

The heated or chilled water can come from a variety of sources to create the water heating system which best suits your available sources of energy.

The systems may be attached directly to existing hot water systems.

air source heat pumps – heating and cooling
wood fire – heating only
electric – heating only
solar – heating only
geothermal heat pumps – heating and cooling

When cooling is required chilled water comes from heat pumps.

Water needs to only be slightly above ambient temperatures to heat a room due to its superior thermal transfer properties. Are there any disadvantages?

No. None with a perfectly designed and installed system you will have a comfortable and controlled system year round. Some people may think there are disadvantages with underfloor heating systems but in reality there are none. Some people may think that floor heating may take a long a long time, this is a great Myth in reality with a heat and screed system it only takes 20 mins or less to heat your home

Can I use hydronic heating in an existing home?

Yes, Established homes can still take advantage of the superior energy and lifestyle qualities of hydronics through the use of floor heating and cooling, radiators or hydronic fan coils in a ducted or room-by-room setup. Heating and cooling systems with fan coils employ the same hydronic technology in a more traditional, familiar package to deliver hot or cool air throughout a home in an efficient, environmentally friendly, and human-focussed manner.

Flowing Screed

Traditional Screed is a specific mixture of cement and sharp sand which creates a smooth, level and strong foundation for flooring. Screed is applied over the concrete, steel or wooden floor to achieve a smooth floor with the correct slope and a better foundation for stylised and custom flooring options.

Heat and Screed uses modern, flowable GYPSOL screed which is based on anhydrite and offers a number of advantages over traditional concrete screed.

It can be laid at a faster rate as it is self levelling.
It requires fewer joints at doors and in the middle of large floors and so the final result looks better
It can be reinforced with fibres to eliminate cracking.
It can accommodate more complex floor designs.
It allows for the inclusion of heating and cooling pipes or wires in the screed. This is more efficient for house heating and cooling than the usual practice of installing these heating elements in the structural concrete layer of the floor. These pipes or wires are nestled within the layer of screed, which is poured directly on and around the heating elements for secure and long-lasting application.

Heat and Screed can choose the correct Gypsol flowable screed product from a range created to for specific applications including products with higher thermal conductivity for underfloor heating and cooling, faster curing, high strength solutions suitable for outdoor use, and ultra-thin screed with a depth as shallow as 15mm.
